When I try to upload a PDF to my site, I receive the error message that I typed into the title above.

Hello Gregory, is there any additional info? Could you please record a screencast of your actions or describe taken steps? You may also create some temporary access for me so I could test the issue by myself. In this case please send temporary access to the support@teamlead.pw
